What is Mercedes-Benz Service B?

Man fixing car

Mercedes-Benz Service B* is required after 2 years or 20,000 miles, and when your vehicle is due, the Mercedes-Benz Flexible Service System will display two wrenches on your main console.  Although your Mercedes-Benz Service B checklist may include additional services, all models are going to receive the following checks and replacements:

  • Synthetic Motor Oil Replacement**
  • Oil Filter Replacement**
  • All fluid level checks and corrections are dependent on factory-recommended service intervals for your vehicle’s year and model
  • Tire inflation check and correction
  • Brake component inspection
  • Reset maintenance counter
  • Cabin dust/combination filter replacement
  • Brake fluid exchange

Adhere to all required elements listed by model year and specific model as indicated on the corresponding service sheet for Mercedes-Benz Maintenance Systems in the USA.

How Much Does Mercedes-Benz Service B Cost?

Your Mercedes-Benz Service B cost will vary***, depending on the model you drive, along with other factors. The best way to get an accurate estimate is to contact the Mercedes-Benz of Fairfield service center for a list of current prices.  We strive to provide the lowest Mercedes-Benz service prices that we can. That’s why we offer Norwalk and Weston drivers a wide variety of rotating service specials. Check out our special offers to find out if you can save.

Differences Between Service A and Service B

Mercedes-Benz Service A is the first of the two major Mercedes-Benz service appointments. Although both A Service and B Service recur once every 20,000 miles, the counter for Mercedes-Benz Service A starts at 10,000 miles, or after one year of ownership.  So, when you’re creating your Mercedes-Benz service schedule, know that you should be alternating between Service A and Service B, with one or the other appointment occurring every 10,000 miles or so. Of the two appointments, Mercedes-Benz Service B is more extensive. It usually includes a brake fluid change and cabin air filter change, along with additional services which vary from model to model. As we noted above, newer Mercedes-Benz models utilize a Flexible Service System in order to help you secure the work you need, precisely at the moment when it’s most needed. Mercedes-Benz Service B is signified by two wrenches on the main console, while Mercedes-Benz Service A is signified by a single wrench.
