Introducing the 2023 EQE

The 2023 EQE will be the third electric vehicle from Mercedes-EQ to debut in the United States—and it’s not at all hard to see why potential buyers are waiting on the edges of their seats for its arrival. After all, this new electric sedan is based on the classic E-Class, which has become a household name by combining segment-leading luxury and invigorating performance, all in one accessible and versatile package. The EQE will carry these benefits forward for the next generation, and although there’s still a lot that we don’t know about this model, we can’t wait to share the information that we have so far!

What Should You Know About the 2023 EQE?

The midsize E-Class has always been the “Goldilocks” sedan in the Mercedes-Benz lineup, and the all-electric EQE will play the same role for the new range of Mercedes-EQ EVs. Here’s a closer look at the details that are available today:

• EQE Performance: The EQE is expected to provide up to 288 hp and 417 lb-ft of torque in its baseline trim, and a second powertrain with more than 400 hp will also be made available. With AIRMATIC® Air Suspension, DYNAMIC SELECT® driving modes, and over-the-air performance updates, you’ll love how it handles the roads of greater Westport.
• EQE Charging Times: With a home-installed Level 2 (240V) charging station, you can bring the EQE from 10% to 100% in just 9.5 hours. 30 minutes is all it takes to charge from 10% to 80% using a public Level 3 DC Fast Charging station in your area. The EQE has a total battery capacity of 90 kWh, but no final range estimates are yet available.
• EQE Technology Features: In addition to those performance features mentioned above, the EQE will deliver Active Ambient Lighting, DIGITAL LIGHT® ambiance, a new-generation MBUX Multimedia System, biometric authentication, a Burmester® 3D Sound System, and even ENERGIZING AIR CONTROL® Plus. Last but not least, the EQE will include the most up-to-date Driver Assistance Package.
• EQE Design: The EQE looks and feels like a slightly smaller version of the EQS—but it’s important to note that the EQE has a more spacious interior than the gas-powered E-Class that you may be familiar with. A floating center console and a panoramic roof give this electric sedan’s cabin a genuinely futuristic feel.

What is the 2023 EQE Release Date?

As with the 2022 EQB SUV, the 2023 EQE release date is slated for 2022. We expect it to arrive at our Fairfield dealership this fall, in the late-third or early-fourth quarter.
